After her family moved to Spain, she began her musical training in piano at the <strong><em>Jos\u00e9 Iturbi Conservatory i<\/em><\/strong>n Valencia, where she later studied voice. At the age of 18, she made her debut as a soloist at the <em>Palau de la M\u00fasica de Valencia<\/em> concert-hall in an oratorio by Ernest Artal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-dm-sans-font-family has-small-font-size\">In 2020, Catalina Paz completed her vocal studies with honors at the prestigious <strong><em>University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna<\/em><\/strong> (mdw). She further expanded her education by enrolling in a university program in classical operetta at the <strong><em>Music and Arts Private University of Vienna<\/em><\/strong> (MUK) with Wolfgang Dosch. This year, the versatile singer began a Master\u2019s degree in voice with a specialization in Early Music at MUK Vienna under the guidance of the renowned specialist Roberta Invernizzi.\u2028<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-dm-sans-font-family has-small-font-size\">Recently, Catalina Paz portrayed the roles of <strong>Konstanze<\/strong> (<em>Die Entf\u00fchrung aus dem Serail <\/em>by W. A. Mozart), <strong>Galatea<\/strong> (<em>Acis and Galatea<\/em> by G. F. H\u00e4ndel), <strong>Sylva Varescu<\/strong> (<em>Die Cs\u00e1rd\u00e1sf\u00fcrstin <\/em>by E. K\u00e1lm\u00e1n) and <strong>Musetta<\/strong> (<em>La Boh\u00e8me<\/em> by G. Puccini).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-dm-sans-font-family has-small-font-size\">In 2021, Catalina Paz joined the First Opera Studio at the <strong><em>Teatro de la Maestranza<\/em><\/strong> in Seville, where she debuted in the lead role of Lisinga in Manuel Garc\u00eda\u2019s<em> Le Cinesi<\/em> with great success.\u2028<br>Catalina Paz has received numerous awards, including <strong><em>second place<\/em><\/strong> at the <em>II Musica Goritiensis International Music Competition<\/em>, <strong><em>recognitions<\/em><\/strong> at the <em>IV International Singing Competition Mart\u00edn Y Soler<\/em> and the <em>VII International Singing Competition in Medinaceli<\/em>, <strong><em>first place <\/em><\/strong>at the <em>III Teror Singing Competition<\/em>, an <strong><em>honorable mention<\/em><\/strong> at the <em>VII International Zarzuela Competition in Valleseco,<\/em> and <em><strong>second place<\/strong><\/em> at the <em>I Josep Palet Singing Competition.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-dm-sans-font-family has-small-font-size\">As a soloist, she has performed in Austria (<strong><em>Theater Odeon<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Musikverein<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>MuTh<\/em><\/strong>, <em><strong>Neue Oper Wien<\/strong><\/em>, <strong><em>Stift Melk<\/em><\/strong>, <em><strong>Schlosstheater Sch\u00f6nbrunn<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Ehrbar Saal<\/strong><\/em>), Germany (<em><strong>Hohenlohe Festival<\/strong><\/em>, <strong><em>Arena G\u00e4rten der Welt<\/em><\/strong>), Spain (<em><strong>Palau de la M\u00fasica de Valencia<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Teatro de la Maestranza<\/strong><\/em>), Bulgaria, and the Czech Republic. She is also a member of the renowned soloist ensemble <em>Musikwelten<\/em> and is accompanied by the Donau Philharmonie, with which she has given numerous concerts across Europe since 2016 under the direction of Maestro <em>Manfred M\u00fcssauer<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-dm-sans-font-family has-small-font-size\">Her extensive repertoire includes opera roles (<strong><em>Galatea, Musetta, Lisinga, Frasquita, Olympia, Lauretta, Konstanze, La Feu\/La Princesse\/Le Rossignol<\/em><\/strong>), operetta roles (<strong><em>Sylva Varescu, Adele, Alminia, Baronessa Ida von Fallersee<\/em><\/strong>), zarzuela (<strong><em>Elena, Marina, Francisquita<\/em><\/strong>), contemporary roles (in works like <em>Death in Venice<\/em> and <em>Duck and Listen!<\/em>), a broad concert repertoire, and soprano parts in various masses and sacred music works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-dm-sans-font-family has-small-font-size\">She has participated in masterclasses with renowned opera stars such as Mariella Devia, Aquiles Machado, Angelika Kirchschlager, Capucine Chiaudani and Ram\u00f3n Vargas. She has also participated in masterclasses with Baroque specialists such as Marian Rosa Montagut and David Bergm\u00fcller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">DE<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-contrast-color has-text-color has-dm-sans-font-family has-small-font-size\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:100;line-height:2.1\">Die lyrische Koloratursopranistin wurde in Chile geboren.
